Nick Button has joined AIB in the Senior Management role of Head Brewer.

Nick commenced his Brewing career at the Oakhill Brewery in the United Kingdom in 1995. Degree qualified in Science (Honours) Nick has demonstrated his ability in best brewing practice matched by an ability to innovate and respond operationally to market demands both locally and at Smiles Brewing Co in Bristol UK. Prior to joining AIB, Nick held a head brewers role for seven years at Malt Shovel Brewery in Sydney under the tutelage of Chuck Hahn.

Dave Brough brings over ten years International and Local brewing experience to AIB. Commencing his brewing career with Allied Breweries (UK) in 1994, Dave commissioned the operation management and openings of a string of Micro Breweries in the UK including Firkin Brewery.

In 2003 Dave added to his technical qualifications when he completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Food Science/Brewing at University of Ballarat, the only university in the Southern Hemisphere offering studies in the science of Brewing.

Prior to joining AIB, Dave was responsible for managing and operating the James Squire Brewhouse in Melbourne as a senior Brewer.

In his current position as Head Brewer at AIB under the guidance of Brewmaster Nick Ricketts, Dave’s role assumes complete management of the AIB brewing operation and is ultimately responsibility for product quality and consistency.
